1. Agreement
These Terms govern use of StoreUptime, including its website monitoring, WordPress and WooCommerce health checks, alerts, status information and paid plans. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. Paid purchases are also subject to the transaction and subscription terms shown by Freemius at checkout.
2. Service use and authorisation
You may use StoreUptime only for websites and systems that you own, administer or are authorised to monitor. You are responsible for your configuration, alert destinations and for keeping account or access information accurate and secure.
Plans apply to the number of websites, monitoring intervals, features and retention shown at the time of purchase or use. Access may not be resold, shared to bypass plan limits or used to provide unauthorised access to the service.
3. What monitoring can and cannot guarantee
StoreUptime is a diagnostic and notification service. It cannot guarantee that every website fault will be detected, that every third-party service will respond consistently, or that every alert will be delivered. Results can be affected by DNS, networks, hosting providers, WordPress behaviour, third-party services, rate limits, maintenance and temporary connectivity problems.
Confirmed-problem logic is used where supported to reduce noise from brief transient failures. WordPress and WooCommerce checks report the configured signals they test; they are not a guarantee that every third-party extension, payment provider, private workflow or customer action is functioning.
4. Pricing, checkout, subscriptions and refunds
GBP is the authoritative StoreUptime pricing currency unless checkout states otherwise. Any USD amount shown on StoreUptime is an estimate based on a recent reference exchange rate and is not a guaranteed billing rate.
Freemius operates the paid checkout as Merchant of Record. Freemius is the legal seller for the checkout transaction and handles payment collection, applicable taxes, invoices, subscription-payment administration and checkout compliance. StoreUptime remains responsible for the monitoring service itself.
Paid plans can renew automatically where this is stated at checkout. Review the checkout summary, billing period, renewal terms, cancellation information and refund or cooling-off information before completing a purchase.
Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer rights. Where applicable law gives you a cancellation, refund, repair, replacement or other statutory remedy, that right continues to apply.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use StoreUptime to attack, overload or probe systems without authorisation, bypass access controls, interfere with other customers, evade reasonable limits, reverse engineer protected service components, or use the service in a way that is unlawful, abusive or harmful.
We may limit or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, other customers or third parties, or where use materially breaches these Terms.
6. Alerts and notification delivery
Alert availability depends on the active plan and the destinations you configure. Delivery can be delayed or prevented by email, messaging, network or third-party provider failures. StoreUptime does not promise delivery within a specific number of seconds unless a separate written agreement expressly says otherwise.
Warnings that do not require immediate action are not sent as customer notifications. Confirmed state-based website, WordPress, page, content and automatic WooCommerce Health Problems, configured error events and genuine recoveries are delivered through the channels included in the active plan and enabled for the monitored website.
7. Service availability and status information
We aim to operate StoreUptime reliably, but maintenance, provider outages and technical faults can occur. The Status page provides operational information about StoreUptime availability and confirmed service incidents.
Status information is provided for transparency and does not create a separate service-level agreement unless a written agreement expressly says otherwise.
8. Privacy and customer data processing
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring that your own use of monitoring, alert destinations and configured content rules complies with law and with any notices you owe to your own users.
Where StoreUptime processes personal data on your documented instructions solely to provide monitoring or alerts, you are the controller and StoreUptime acts as your processor. Your configuration and use of the service form those documented instructions. StoreUptime remains a controller for its own customer administration, security, fraud-prevention, legal and service-operation processing described in the Privacy Policy.
For processor activities, StoreUptime will process customer personal data only as needed to provide the configured service or where law requires otherwise; apply appropriate confidentiality and security measures; use subprocessors needed for cloud/network infrastructure, alert delivery and checkout/subscription services; and provide reasonable assistance with data-subject, security, breach and regulatory obligations where required by law.
When processor services end, customer personal data is deleted or put beyond use in accordance with the applicable service lifecycle and retention rules unless law requires retention. On reasonable written request, we will provide information needed to demonstrate these processor obligations, subject to confidentiality, security and protection of other customers.
9. Intellectual property
StoreUptime, its site design, service code, documentation and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms permit you to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of StoreUptime or its intellectual property.
10. Liability
You remain responsible for your website, backups, security, business continuity and decisions made in response to monitoring results. StoreUptime should not be your only recovery, security or disaster-response control.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including failures of third-party networks, hosting, payment, messaging or infrastructure providers. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, and mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.
11. Changes, suspension and termination
We may change service features, integrations or these Terms where reasonably necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance or product development. Material changes will be reflected on this page and, where required, communicated through an appropriate channel.
You may stop using the service at any time. Cancellation, expiry, disconnection or plan changes can end or reduce paid monitoring in accordance with the service configuration and subscription state. Information that must be retained for legal, accounting, security or dispute purposes may be kept for the required period.
12. Contact and legal identity
Questions about these Terms or the monitoring service can be sent through the Contact page or to support@storeuptime.com.
These Terms operate subject to the mandatory laws and consumer protections that apply to you. You can print or save this page using your browser for your records.
